We Are A Rock and Roll Band. No Fucking Frills.
The Atlantic
The Atlantic
We rock, and we roll.

After four years in the local Kansas City music scene and multiple line-up changes, The Atlantic has finally gotten it right. This solid roster of young but experienced musicians has accumulated a very loyal fan base under this title. The admirable passion for the arts displayed by these four individuals is seldom found in such young aspiring musicians. Hailing from Kansas City Missouri, the indie four piece has collectively shaped the sound and feel of their music, from the in-your-face rock feel, to the lustrous, intimate “dream-like” tunes, there is no limit to their potential. Patrick Robinson (Vocals/Rhythm Guitar), Brandon Gardner (Lead Guitar/vocals), Eric Augustus Fain (Bass), and M. Blaire Geenens (Drums) all come from musical backgrounds, providing them with a solid foundation to continue to push the boundaries.
John Velghe and Prodigal Sons
John Velghe and Prodigal Sons
"The rock and roll circus canvas was held open by the likes of Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Smokey Robinson and John Lennon--the biggest tent artists imaginable. Velghe descends from that line, particularly the way John Lennon could take all the enormity and raw power of the rock and roll that came before him and deliver it in a lullaby. Both that scope of vision and that intimacy, after all, are the elements that most obviously connect Lennon to Velghe's mentor Alejandro Escovedo" -- Danny Alexander, Take 'Em As They Come

"It is a gem of a pop record, rich in melodies and harmonies, embroidered tastefully with strings, guitars, horns, keyboards, the occasional mandolin. It rocks hard and sways gently. It is softly lit in some places, bright and brash in others." – Timmothy Finn, KC Star

"Velghe sings with an emotional wallop that sneaks up softly and deserves to be experienced without disruption." (Present Magazine)
